I'm not quite sure why I have decided to jump on the blog bandwagon. Perhaps it's because I enjoy following the blogs of some of my friends. Maybe it's because it seems like something fun to do. It's quite possible that I don't really have a good reason other than sheer boredom. Quite honestly, I don't know how well I will keep up with something like this considering it'll be just "one more thing" for me to do - as if I don't already have a To Do list that is miles long and will never end. As I ponder it more and more, perhaps this will be a way to keep track of memories and a way to look back on my life as it passes by so quickly.......

And on that note, talk about time passing by quickly......my sweet baby girl is about to turn ONE-YEAR-OLD! Oh. My. Goodness. WHERE DID THE PAST YEAR GO?!?! Today, Jeff and I went shopping at Party City for birthday decorations for Grace's 1st Birthday party. We had a blast! There was so many things to look at and so many decisions to make. I promised Jeff (and myself) that I wouldn't go absolutely bananas and spend a fortune. Considering she's "only" turning one and doesn't really understand what's about to happen, I told myself that I should not "go all out" on a theme such as Sesame Street or Winnie-the-Pooh......and I didn't. All things considered, it's going to be expensive to host a birthday party with a confirmed guest list of almost 50 people. And that's just family! Since we're having the party at my parents' house, I had to keep the guest list exclusive to family only. There were an additional 15 (or so) people that I really wanted to invite but simply couldn't. Next year, I'm thinking I may split it into 2 parties - one for each side of the family. Granted, I'd have to purchase two cakes and probably a little extra food but it'd be worth it to invite everyone that we'd like to have attend.

In addition to our shopping excursion at Party City, we also stopped at Carter's. I adore Carter's because they have the best baby and toddler clothing. It's durable (meaning it washes well, doesn't fade, doesn't shrink terribly, etc), it's adorable, and it's not super-expensive. Grace is just about to outgrow her 12-month pajamas, as I discovered last night when I had to shove her into a pair that nearly didn't zip because she must have grown taller in the past few days - literally! It's on to 18-month clothing for my little pumpkin.

Time flies by so quickly. I am truly in awe of how quickly the past year of our lives has flown by. I am excited for this summer when I will be off from work and can play with Grace all day long and watch her discover this amazing world that we live in.

I hope you'll stop by often to check out what's going on in our crazy, chaotic, busy lives!
